Ok, I'm definitely subscribed to this blog now.

The Kissinger quote couldn't be more true about the relationship between the Ruby and Python communities. The languages are so similar, but the rivalry between the two sparks up rather intensely. I miss the days when the Ruby community lived by MINASWAN.

Point 1) is very true as well. My boyfriend and I have gotten more than a little annoyed at each other over these sort of differences. If you want to explain something to me, give me a couple of examples and a link to a reference if I need clarification later. He prefers a more rigorous explanation, a Formal System if you've got one.

I've been thinking about how to communicate effectively to different kinds of thinkers while doing some documentation at work lately. I don't think I've made much progress though.
